Souchong Chinese Black Tea

Lapsang Souchong belongs to souchong black tea. It was produced in Tongmu Area, Wuyishan, Fujian Province. Lapsang Souchong is the earliest black tea and it is called black tea originator. It has a history of 400 years. On July 20, 2020, Lapsang Souchong was included in the first batch of protection list of Central Europe Geographical Indications. The competitions in domestic and foreign tea markets are intensified. There is a dispute between Lapsang black tea and Waishan black tea. Lapsang means orthodox. That’s where Lapsang Souchong gets its name. This product is made by modern Lapsang Souchong Technique. In withering phase, there are no baking steps. In drying phase, charcoal is used to dry tea leaves. The tea has a perfumed flower aroma. The taste of the tea is sweet and brisk.
